Solid, cast bronze chair. The chair is cast is cast in bronze like a baby’s first shoes. The mold for the cast was made from a cementitious shell formed over the same inflatable mold used to create the Disco Chairs. The bronze is polised but not finished allowing the chair to age slowly in place. Unlike the Disco Chair that shows the passing of time with a daylight show, the Bronze Chairs are meant to show the slow passing of time through the wear of its users and environment. It is meant to let the chair age, showing all its wear as a reminder that time moves in only one direction, and that once lost, time can never be recovered.

Bronze is a live finish, which darkens from a reflective high polish to brown, and eventually to a verdigris finish in the right conditions. The chair may come with some of the artists, fabricators, and installers fingerprints. Can be used inside or outside.
