Marmol Radziner, May 2012

Think Inside the Blocks was a temporary installation for the Hammer Museum’s K.A.M.P event. K.A.M.P is a full day event that introduces children to contemporary art via interactive installations, games, and art designed by current artists.

As builders the MRA proposal for the K.A.M.P event was a site specific table and building blocks. Children and adults at the event played with maple and walnut blocks, planes, and rods milled on MRA’s CNC router. At the end of the day children were able to take home bags of blocks, planes, and rods. The table was re-constructed and remains in the lobby of the Hammer Museum.
